Ministries at ECC
Every believer should serve. It is essential to our growth and maturity individually and as a local church.
Finding Our "Grace Space" in the body
We believe that it is best when individuals can find their "Grace space" and not just serve for serving sake. What we mean is, that we are all blessed with specific gifts and talents and skills that causes "grace" to be released out of us to others when we are functioning in those gifts, talents and skills. When we serve in places just to serve, it requires others in the body to have "grace for us" when we serve which is obviously not helpful.
So, we desire every believer to experience the flow of grace out of their lives and we believe as a body we can all help one another step out and into that most effective place of serving in our walk with the Lord.
Some places in the life of the church require some deeper training and teaming with others that will require more preparation time to serve in, such as children's ministry or working with teens. However, we do encourage parental involvement on a regualr basis in these areas, because it reinforces our heart to build a thriving community not a set of programs attached to a church experience.
There are multiple places at ECC that people can serve and find the "grace space". We will be happy to assist you in any way we can as you pursue that "space" at ECC.
Here are some of the key places you might consider, along with contact information of those that lead these areas.
Coffee Team
At ECC we take our coffee serious! Not really, but we do serve coffee for our Sunday morning gathering. It requires showing up a bit early (between 9am). If you would like to serve in this capacity please email Rene Laudat (d_oneluv@yahoo.com) about the details.
Facility Team
Because we have a facility we have a need for ongoing help with various maintenance things around the building. If you have skills that you think would help in any area, you should consider joining this team. It is a great opportunity to connect with others and serve the whole body at the same time. If you are interested please contact the facility team leader Ed Miller and he will get you plugged into the team!
Media Team
We have lots of room for those who want to serve by contributing to the media that we use on a regular basis at ECC. This website being one area along with our emails that we send the body for information and this team also encompasses the slides that we produce and use for our Sunday morning gatherings, as well as working sound. This team will also be involved in helping to develop and produce print materials as well. There are needs for computer fluency and artistic design skills, so if you want to contribute let us know. Contact Chris McCastle (chrism@eastcoastchurch.org) for some more info on how you can get involved in this important ministry.
Worship Team
We love worship which does involve music most of the time, so having those who have musical skills as well as those who sing well is important. We desire to equip and develop musicians and singers who not only have great skills but who learn to grow in a lifestyle of worship, and thus influence the rest of the body to do the same. If you would like to pursue this team, contact Andre Webb by email andre@eastcoastchurch.org. There are some extra requirements that go with being on this team, and that is being at the Thursday night practice. This practice is not only vital for skill development, but team building plays a big role in these practice sessions as well.
